The target and trepanation point coordinates are defined on the basis of the X-ray, CT and MRI images and converted into stereotactic coordinates using a planning software such as the inomed Planning System (iPS). With the inomed stereotactic systems, the coordinates obtained in this way can now be set directly on the aiming bow carriage. The prepared stereotactic system is then mounted on the target point simulator ring. The ring on the target point simulator imitates the ring on the patient’s head.
The inomed target point simulator (phantom) can be combined with all inomed head ring units, whether titanium ring or ceramic ring.
The target point simulator is compatible with all inomed stereotactic systems: SUSy, RM stereotactic system and ZD stereotactic system.
