How can the RM stereotactic system be adjusted as accurately as possible?

To ensure the most accurate setting possible, the RM stereo­tactic system is fitted with verniers for the corresponding scales. The vernier enables the determination of small measurement values that can no longer be read from the main scale. To get a feel for the fine adjustment, it helps to know that a vernier scale interval corresponds to a value of 1/10 of a degree. However, to ensure easy adjustment, magnifying glasses are provided to enable the values to be read or set precisely.

Is the RM stereotactic system compatible with the inomed target point simulator?

The RM stereotactic system is compatible with the inomed target point simulator. The combination with the inomed target point simulator increases safety in use. All patient-specific settings can be checked exactly before the intervention is started on the patients.

What mounting options does the RM stereotactic system offer?

The RM stereotactic system allows the treating neuro­surgeons to precisely reach every point in the working area of the RM system in the brain. The working area in the brain is determined by the position of the ring system. Specifically, it is possible to mount the RM system in both positive and negative orientation. The standard positive mounting can be used to access the frontal and occipital cranial regions, while the negative mounting can be used to reach the posterior fossa and pituitary gland.
