Joule-Thomson principle as the basis
C3 CryoProbes
The C3 CryoProbes use the Joule-Thomson principle of gas expansion to achieve low temperatures at the probe tip. Cryogenic gas (CO₂ or N₂O) flows at high pressure into the probe tip, where it flows through a small opening into a chamber with a relatively large volume. The pressure drop causes the gas to cool down considerably. This temperature drop produces the desired cryo effect and thus enables the application of cryoanalgesia.
The C3 CryoProbes from inomed enable easy and safe cryoanalgesia with targeted application of stimulation and cold directly to the peripheral nerve.

The C3 CryoProbes can be placed more easily and safely using the disposable cannulas. As the cannulas are available in different lengths, deeper target nerves can also be reached.
