Thanks to a unique software solution, the system can be expanded to plan stereotactic brachytherapy in the brain. In addition, the volume modelling tool provides a 3D representation of individual RF lesions in the brain and improves the planning process for different lesion techniques.
The possibility to quickly generate 3D views of the patient’s skull helps to verify target point planning for a stereotactic procedure. By projecting the stereotactic systems used, the users receive a realistic visualisation of the arrangement and effect of the trajectory planning on the system configuration.
CT, MRI, PET and X-ray images are supported.
The iPS is complemented by many other functions, such as measuring distances, angles and areas. For the verification of the trajectory, the images can be aligned to all typical sectional planes (sagittal, coronal, axial plane) and additionally adjusted according to the top view of the trajectory (perpendicular or probe’s eye) or along the trajectory.
