Cryoanalgesia of the occipital nerve

Three nerves (the greater occipital nerve, the lesser occipital nerve and the third occipital nerve) run in the occipital region and can be irritated for a variety of reasons, causing occipital neuralgia. A common cause of neuralgia is constriction due to increased muscle tension in the occipital region.
