Brain lesioning


Brain lesioning using thermocoagulation is a neurosurgical procedure in which targeted tissue lesions are caused in the brain by applying heat to the affected area using a probe. This procedure is primarily used to treat neurological diseases such as tremor, chronic pain or epilepsy, especially when other treatment methods are not sufficiently effective. Thanks to the precise control of thermocoagulation, specific brain regions can be treated that are associated with the symptoms of the respective disease.
