Brachytherapy


Brachytherapy is a form of radiotherapy in which a radiation source is placed directly in or in the immediate vicinity of the tumour or affected tissue. This enables targeted irradiation, which protects healthy tissue as much as possible. Brachytherapy is often used to treat cancer.
