inomed is delighted to sponsor the upcoming cIONM training course in Aalst (Belgium) led by AZORG Hospital’s Operational Head of General Surgery Dr. Sam Van Slycke.

The advantages of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) are now well-established in thyroid surgery. Continuous intraoperative nerve monitoring (cIONM),however, allows for real-time monitoring of nerve function.

Attendees will have the opportunity to observe the use of these advanced technologies in a live surgical setting. The course offers insight into surgical approach, special considerations for non-standard patients, and equipment setup.

At inomed, we believe that collaboration and education are key to providing the best possible care for our patients. Summer School of the DGKN/FBA!🧠⚡Join us in Portugal from 15 to 18 March for an in-depth, hands-on experience in peri- and intraoperative neurophysiology.

This year, emphasis will be on:
✔️ Peri- and intraoperative neurography and neurosonography of peripheral nerves and the brachial plexus
✔️ Mapping and monitoring of the conus/cauda region
✔️ Intraoperative #mapping and #monitoring in deep brain stimulation #DBS

The course features a hands-on approach with a low lecturer-to-participant ratio (expected 1:2),ensuring individual attention. Participants will also present a clinical case report to stimulate discussion in #workshops.

📣The event has been accredited with EACCME® credit points in previous years, which have been reapplied for 2026. Limited to just 30 participants, this is a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge and practical application techniques.

Congratulations to George Mochloulis and Kanchana Rajaguru from East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust, Lister Hospital, who have performed over 100 thyroid RFA procedures to date!🤝 STARMED and inomed paid a visit last week to celebrate this milestone achievement. Many thanks to Anant Patel, Panos Dimitriadis and the amazing clinical team for their hard work in making this happen!

The STARMED system offers a highly effective non-surgical treatment for thyroid nodules, with a procedure that takes just minutes and can be performed under local anaesthetic in an outpatient setting.

🙋‍♀️ 🙋‍♂️ We are very excited to announce that the Lister Hospital is now an official proctoring site for this procedure. Registration for their summer 2026 Thyroid RFA training course will be opening soon – be sure to secure your place!
