OSIRIS NeuroStimulator

The OSIRIS NeuroStimulator is an electrical stimulator specially designed for intraoperative monitoring. The stimulation is carried out various kinds of
stimulation probes either monopolar or bipolar, as well as by subdermal needle electrodes.

The OSIRIS NeuroStimulator can be used as a stand-alone device or integrated into the ISIS IOM system. In this case, the stimulator menu is included in the IOM software. Parameters for various stimulation modes can be saved permanently.

Different versions of the stimulator are available:

  • DNS: 0,05...15 mA constant current
  • HC: 1...220 mA constant current
  • DNS/HC: both functions integrated

The OSIRIS NeuroStimulator is used for many neurophysiological applications:

Intraoperative

  • MEP monitoring: transcranial stimulation for motor evoked potentials
  • Mapping: direct cortical stimulation of speech and motor cortex with grid and depth electrodes
  • DNS Direct Nerve Stimulation: monitoring of cranial and peripheral nerves
  • NAP: stimulation of peripheral nerves by neuronal lesions to perform nerve action potential measures
  • Nerve and muscle stimulation: surgery at the pelvic floor, anal atresy

Diagnostic

  • EP: transcutaneous stimulation for evoked potentials
  • NCV: measure of the nerve conduction velocity
