IPS consists of the approved Praezis Plus planning software and an interface to the ISIS MER system with MicroDrive. IPS is a stereotactic 3D planning software for all usual stereotactic devices and reads all DICOM images like CT, MR, PET and x-ray.
Image Fusion and anatomical atlas are integrated in the software.
IPS allows the intraoperative verification of trajectories and supports the functional stereotaxy, deep brain stimulation as well as the thalamotomy.
Functional target location can be entered in relation to AC-PC line.

Integration of the MicroDrive (planned): IPS
delivers online a representation of the micro electrode position

Flexible visions: In
IPS, the surgeon can switch the orientation of the images, between
image coordinate system, stereotactic coordinate system and patient
coordinate system (AC-PC with corrected patient longitudinal axis),
and measure distance, angle and surface in all coordinate systems.

Site compensation: IPS corrects the tipping of the body longitudinal axis by input of the AC-PC line, so that the patient can be clamped oblique in the ring, without reduction of the localisation precision by functional stereotaxy.

Multiple image series: Integration of functional MR images and PET images for the planning is possible.
•
Integrated solutions and stand-alone solutions: The ISIS MER System has been designed for the integration of the planning software. As Stand-alone model, IPS can be installed on a Notebook or a work station with two displays.

Optimal preparation: The preparation can be performed without the stereotactic ring. The transmission of the preparation occurs through Image Fusion of the stereotactic image data.
