Acoustic Neurinoma
Neuromonitoring is performed for following applications during acoustic neurinoma removal:
- Localisation of cranial nerves
- Monitoring of cranial nerves,
- continuous monitoring of the auditory nerve
- neurophysiological controll of the patient placement
Recordings performed:
- EMG: detection of spontaneous activity
- Representation of patterns in EMG, which can indicate a probable damage of the nerve
- Direct nerve stimulation with CMAP for nerve localisation
- AEP (Acoustic Evoked Potentials)
- ECoch (Electrococleography)
- CNAP (Compound Nerve Action Potentials)
- SEP (Somatosensory Evoked Potentials)
Systems
- ISIS IOM System
- NeMo NeuroMonitor
- C2 NerveMonitor (only motor cranial nerves, no AEP)
